After many hours of planning, surveying, path testing, and a lot of hours of hard work, GWS is on the air and linked to the Intertie System. Many thanks to all who helped with this project. It will fill-in I37 corridor as needed for evacuation route to San Antonio from Corpus Christi. Also, it provides for George West/Three River coverage during flooding conditions, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other emergency needs.

GWS - A new look at the GWS site during the install of the Intertie System. The building to the left appeared since our last visit.

GWS - The tower at the site. No antennas other than a DB420 at the top as we deploy at this time a repeater for the site.

GWS - Releveling and straightening the air conditioning system on its concrete slab.

GWS - Checking and tightening the grounding system to the outside generator.

GWS - Reconnecting the outside grounding rod with the ground system wiring. One of several ground rods around the building.

GWS - Moving the air conditioning unit to correct its plumbing and electrical fittings from being in a bind.

GWS - Again, leveling the air conditioning unit on its concrete slab due to weathering.

GWS - A little leverage was needed to accomplish this task while the others slide the unit in place.

GWS - After leveling the air conditioning unit we all stepped back to check it again.
