ÅHOME  GPS to the Digitraveller to Alinco Cable Wiring ÅBACK

Here is what I have done to hookup a GPS to the Digitraveller to Alinco.

1. Requires 3.5mm stereo plug (1/8") Still uses 3 aaa batteries, the +B

just turns on the GPS when radio is on.

2. I cut the end off one of the PDA cables to save work.....  Other can

be used to make cables for other radios. Same pins will work.

3. Tip is GPS data out to radio    -     wire from Digitraveller cable is Brown (pin 2)

4. Ring is +B to GPS power        -      wire     "       "            "        Red      (pin 3)

5. GND  barrel                             -      wire    "        "            "        Black    (pin 5)

I have tested this with a 1/8" socket to a DB9 female for hookup to computer.

Ran GPSDIAG (can find on internet free) and it shows GPS working!!!
